Best time to visit Nepal

Nepal has marked seasonal patterns that vary with altitude. The main peak season is autumn, from October to November, when days are generally clear and dry, with many popular areas in the mid-hills seeing average daytime temperatures around 15–25°C (59–77°F). A second peak season runs in spring, from March to April, also with clear conditions and similar temperatures, especially attractive for trekking and city sightseeing. The shoulder season includes late September and early December, and parts of February, when temperatures in many areas range from about 10–22°C (50–72°F) but conditions can be cooler at night and in higher elevations. The low season coincides largely with the summer monsoon, from June to early September, when temperatures in lower regions can rise to 25–30°C (77–86°F) or more, and heavy rain and cloud are common, especially in the afternoons.
