For flights between Kolkata and Penang, the weight concept applies to checked baggage. In Economy Class, Lite and Value fares include 25kg of checked baggage, while Standard and Flexi fares include 30kg. Business Class includes 40kg of checked baggage. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, and Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance for your journey is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet on this route. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Business Class travellers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Kolkata–Singapore Airbus A350-900 sector and the Singapore–Penang Boeing 737-8 MAX sector, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch and up to 19-inch seat width. Business Class provides a fully flat bed with generous personal space and direct aisle access on the Airbus A350-900, and lie-flat or deeply reclining seats with direct aisle access on the Boeing 737-8 MAX, giving you a comfortable rest throughout your journey.

Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available. Eligible passengers may relax in facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin class and status.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Kolkata but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Kolkata operates on India Standard Time (IST), which is UTC+5:30 and does not observe daylight saving time. Penang uses Malaysia Time (MYT), which is UTC+8 and also does not change throughout the year. Penang is therefore 2 hours 30 minutes ahead of Kolkata at all times.
