Beverage Service
Throughout the flight, you can enjoy a selection of hot and cold drinks, including juices, soft drinks, tea, and coffee. Our signature Singapore Sling is also available on board.

For flights between Surabaya and Yangon, the weight concept applies. For checked baggage, Economy Class guests have an allowance of 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Business Class guests have an allowance of 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class guests may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class guests may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final baggage allowance for your journey is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Surabaya to Yangon once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet, on both the Surabaya–Singapore and Singapore–Yangon sectors where the service is installed. KrisFlyer members enjoy free and unlimited Wi-Fi; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure.

Non-members can purchase Wi-Fi plans on board. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Surabaya–Singapore and Singapore–Yangon sectors, Economy Class seats offer a pitch of about 32 inches and up to 19 inches of seat width, providing comfortable legroom for the journey.

Business Class on both sectors provides a fully flat bed on the Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 737-8 MAX, with generous personal space and direct aisle access from every seat.

Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

At Singapore Changi Airport, eligible customers may be invited to use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and status.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Surabaya but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

With a layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can enjoy one of the world’s most comfortable transit experiences. For longer layovers, you may be able to join a free city tour if your connection meets the minimum time requirements, allowing you to see highlights of Singapore before returning for your onward flight.

For shorter layovers, stay airside and explore the airport’s attractions, which may include indoor gardens, art installations, rest areas, and children’s play spaces. There are also quiet zones for relaxation and transit hotels in selected terminals if you wish to rest in greater privacy.

Surabaya follows the Asia/Jakarta time zone (UTC+7) and does not observe daylight saving time. Yangon follows the Asia/Rangoon time zone (UTC+6:30), also without daylight saving. Yangon is therefore 30 minutes behind Surabaya throughout the year.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Yangon International Airport when flying from Surabaya via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Surabaya–Singapore and Singapore–Yangon) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Yangon is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
