On Mumbai to Osaka flights, the weight concept applies for checked baggage. For checked baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class passengers have 35kg, Business Class 40kg, and Suites 50kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Suites and Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance for your trip is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet on the Mumbai to Osaka route. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans on board. The service is ideal for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Mumbai to Singapore and Singapore to Osaka sectors, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available. Eligible customers may use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin and status.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Mumbai but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers extensive facilities that make layovers comfortable and enjoyable. For longer connections of around 5.5 hours or more, you can consider official transit tour options into the city, subject to eligibility and operating hours. For shorter layovers, you can stay airside and explore themed gardens, rest areas, and entertainment zones across the terminals.

If you prefer to relax, there are quiet zones, snooze areas, and airport hotels where you can rest between flights. Families will find play areas and attractions, while shoppers can browse a wide range of international and regional brands.

Mumbai operates on India Standard Time (IST), which is UTC+5:30 and does not observe daylight saving time. Osaka follows Japan Standard Time (JST), which is UTC+9:00 and also does not observe daylight saving time. Osaka is therefore 3 hours 30 minutes ahead of Mumbai throughout the year.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Mumbai–Singapore and Singapore–Osaka) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Osaka is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
