Please note that no meal service is provided for Economy Class passengers on the Singapore–Kuala Lumpur segment due to the short flight time.

For flights between Istanbul and Kuala Lumpur, our weight-concept baggage policy applies. In Economy Class, Lite and Value fares include 25kg of checked baggage, while Standard and Flexi fares include 30kg. Premium Economy Class customers enjoy 35kg, and Business Class customers have 40kg of checked baggage. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg in weight. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your exact allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Istanbul–Singapore sector, the Airbus A350-900 offers Economy Class seats with a 32-inch pitch and up to 19-inch width, Premium Economy Class with a 38-inch pitch and up to 20-inch width, and Business Class with a fully flat bed and direct aisle access. On the Singapore–Kuala Lumpur sector, the Boeing 737-8 MAX provides Economy Class with similar comfort-focused seating and Business Class with a fully flat bed-style seat on selected configurations, giving you generous space on both parts of your journey.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

At Singapore (SIN), eligible customers may be able to use lounges such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), and the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Istanbul but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport is well known for its transit experience, and if your layover is at least 5.5 to 6 hours, you can consider joining an official city tour to see highlights of Singapore without handling your checked baggage. Shorter layovers can still be enjoyable, as Changi offers themed gardens, quiet rest areas, and art installations in the terminals.

Within the transit area, you will also find a wide range of dining options, spa services, and in some terminals even attractions such as immersive experiences or play zones, allowing you to relax or stretch your legs between flights. Airport hotels and rest areas make longer connections more comfortable if you prefer to stay airside.

Istanbul operates on Turkey Time (TRT), which is UTC+3 all year. Kuala Lumpur uses Malaysia Time (MYT), which is UTC+8. This means Kuala Lumpur is 5 hours ahead of Istanbul throughout the year, regardless of the month you travel.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Kuala Lumpur when flying from Istanbul via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Istanbul–Singapore and Singapore–Kuala Lumpur) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
