Flight and bonus flight credits
Last updated 06 September 2021, 10:00hrs (GMT +8)
If you had a booking that was disrupted due to Covid-19, global border restrictions, or flight cancellations and your ticket was covered under our travel waiver policy, you may have chosen to retain the value of your ticket as flight credits for future travel.
Additionally, if you choose to retain the value of a fully unused adult fare ticket as flight credits, you will also be eligible for bonus flight credits between SGD 75 and SGD 500 when you rebook—a token of appreciation for your support.
Checking your flight credit balance
You can check your available flight credit balance (including bonus flight credits) via Manage Booking. Simply enter the booking reference and last name associated with your affected booking and select the ‘Check flight credit balance’ checkbox.
The value of flight credits you will receive is equivalent to the unused value of the original flight ticket. This includes taxes, but excludes any seat selection fees, excess baggage or Singapore Stopover Holiday packages—which would have been refunded to you via your original mode of payment. It will also not include any travel insurance fees (as you are required to contact AIG to cancel the policy for a refund), credit card service fees (for selected countries) or booking fees (for offline ticket purchases).
If you are eligible for bonus flight credits, you will also see them reflected when you check your flight credit balance via Manage Booking. The value of the bonus flight credits you will receive is based on your original class of travel*, and can be used together with your flight credits.
Cabin Class | Bonus flight credits per eligible passenger |
---|---|
Economy | SGD 75 |
Premium Economy | SGD 100 |
Business | SGD 200 |
Suites / First | SGD 500 |
*If your eligible ticket contains a combination of cabin classes, the bonus flight credits will be based on the higher cabin class.
Using your flight credits
To use your flight credits to offset the cost of a new itinerary, start by searching for flights on singaporeair.com as usual. After selecting your flights, you will be able to retrieve your flight credits by entering the booking reference and last name associated with your affected booking.
Alternatively, you can visit our Assistance Request Form, select ‘Change or rebook your flight’, and fill out the form accordingly.
Your flight credits may be used for future travel before 30 June 2022, for up to two separate bookings.
With flight credits, you can enjoy greater flexibility:
Change your travel dates when you rebook (as long as it is before 30 June 2022)
Choose a different destination when you rebook
Select a more flexible fare type when you rebook
Use your flight credits to book a higher cabin class ticket
Use any remaining flight credits for a second booking
