Contact verification

To enhance the security of our members’ accounts, members with unverified contact details will be required to update their email address and/or mobile number and authenticate that the details provided are valid. This will ensure that sensitive account-related information will not be sent to invalid contact details, and that members can be contacted when required.

Affected members who log in to their account on singaporeair.com will see a banner informing them of the contact detail(s) that need to be verified. They can go on to perform verification via email or mobile one-time password (OTP) respectively.

  1. Why am I seeing a banner asking me to verify my email and/or mobile contact details?
Your contact details are used to verify transactions, keep your KrisFlyer account secure, and receive important updates. If you see a banner asking you to verify your email and/or mobile contact details, please ensure that they are up to date.
  2. How do I verify my email and/or mobile contact information?
You will be prompted for a one-time password (OTP) sent to the contact detail to be verified. For example, if you need to verify your mobile details, you will receive an SMS OTP to your registered mobile number. After entering the OTP correctly, your mobile details will be considered as verified.
  3. What will happen if I do not verify my email address?
If your email address is not verified, you will not be able to receive certain sensitive information (such as account statements and updates) via email. This is to prevent communications being sent to the wrong email address, which risks exposing members’ personal data to strangers.
  4. What will happen if I do not verify my mobile number?
If your mobile number is invalid, you will not be able to receive SMS communications (such as flight-related notifications) from Singapore Airlines.
  5. How do I verify my contact details?
    a. Log in to your KrisFlyer account on singaporeair.com
    b. If you have details that are pending verification, a banner will prompt you to verify your contact details.
    c. Enter the one-time password (OTP) sent to your email address or mobile number
    d. When the OTP is successfully entered, your contact information will be considered as verified.
  6. Will I need to verify my contact details again in the future?
No, as long as your contact details remain the same. If there are changes to your contact details, please update them via the Profile tab in your KrisFlyer account, to receive alerts on your account activity. You will then be prompted to verify the new contact information. Do note that your email address should be unique and not shared with other members.

  1. Why am I being prompted to verify my contact details after updating my profile?
We need to ensure that your updated contact details are valid.
  2. Will I be prompted to verify my contact details every time I update my profile?
You will only be prompted for contact verification if you have added or changed your email and/or mobile details in your KrisFlyer profile. You will not be prompted if you have added or changed non-contact related details.
  3. What happens if I do not verify the contact detail(s) that I have just updated?
If your email address is not verified, you will not be able to receive certain sensitive information (such as account statements and updates) via email. This is to prevent communications being sent to the wrong email address, which risks exposing members’ personal data to strangers.

If your mobile number is invalid, you will not be able to receive SMS communications (such as flight-related notifications) from Singapore Airlines.
  4. I updated both my email and mobile contact details. How do I verify them?
You will be prompted to verify your email address via an email OTP. After it is successfully verified, you can either continue to verify your mobile number via mobile OTP or do so another time. You are encouraged to complete verification of both email and mobile contact details as soon as possible.

  1. Will this change how Singapore Airlines is allowed to share my contact information?
No, contact verification is purely to ensure that members’ contact details are updated and accurate.
  2. I am seeing an error message after clearing the OTP. What should I do?
There might be a technical issue on the Singapore Airlines website that is preventing successful verification. Unfortunately, we will not be able to verify your details on your behalf. Please wait for the issue to be resolved before trying again.
