Book the Cook
Eligible Business Class customers can use our Book the Cook service on selected sectors to reserve from a wider range of main courses in advance. This allows you to personalise your dining experience before you fly.

Beverage Service
Throughout the flight, you can enjoy hot and cold beverages, including juices, soft drinks, tea, and coffee. Our signature Singapore Sling is also available on board, so you can toast your journey between Nagoya, Singapore, and Colombo.

For flights between Nagoya and Colombo, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage for Economy Class is 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Business Class customers enjoy a 40kg checked baggage allowance. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class customers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final baggage allowance for your specific booking is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members have additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Nagoya to Colombo once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Nagoya to Singapore and Singapore to Colombo sectors, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch and up to 19-inch seat width. This provides comfortable legroom and space for regional and medium-haul flights.

Business Class on both sectors features a fully flat bed with direct aisle access at every seat. You can stretch out to sleep, work with privacy, or simply relax with added personal space throughout the journey.

On the Nagoya to Singapore sector operated by the Boeing 787-10, you can choose between Business Class and Economy Class. The onward Singapore to Colombo sector on the Airbus A350-900 also offers Business Class and Economy Class, giving you a consistent cabin choice across both flights.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

With a layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you have a range of ways to spend your time comfortably. For longer layovers, you may join the airport’s official city tour programme, which typically requires at least 5.5 to 6 hours between flights. This gives you a taste of Singapore before you continue to Colombo.

For shorter layovers, staying airside is very convenient. You can explore gardens, relaxation zones, and play areas, or simply enjoy the varied dining and shopping options within the terminals. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

At Nagoya Chubu Centrair International Airport (NGO), eligible Singapore Airlines customers may be able to use partner lounge facilities before the flight to Singapore. Lounge access depends on your cabin class, fare type, and frequent flyer status, and will follow the conditions shown on your booking or boarding pass.

During your layover at Singapore Changi Airport, eligible customers travelling on Singapore Airlines may have access to the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin class and KrisFlyer or Star Alliance status. Access entitlements are confirmed at check-in and shown on your boarding pass.

Nagoya follows Japan Standard Time, which is UTC+9 and does not observe daylight saving time. Colombo follows Sri Lanka Standard Time, which is UTC+5:30 and also has no daylight saving time. Colombo is therefore 3 hours 30 minutes behind Nagoya throughout the year.

For your one-stop journey from Nagoya to Colombo via Singapore, we recommend arriving at Nagoya Chubu Centrair International Airport at least 2.5 to 3 hours before departure. This allows sufficient time for check-in, security, and a relaxed walk to your boarding gate.

Visa and entry requirements for Sri Lanka depend on your nationality and the purpose and length of your stay. We recommend checking with the relevant Sri Lankan authorities or your local embassy, and reviewing current transit requirements for Singapore before you travel.

If both your Nagoya–Singapore and Singapore–Colombo sectors are on a single Singapore Airlines booking, we will usually check your checked baggage through to Colombo. You should still confirm this at check-in in Nagoya and keep essential items in your cabin baggage for the layover.

Your ticketed itinerary includes an approved connection time at Singapore Changi Airport. For most customers, this is sufficient to change gates, pass any required checks, and enjoy a short break. If you plan to leave the airport during transit, allow extra time and check entry requirements in advance.
