For flights between Colombo and San Francisco, the weight-concept baggage policy applies. For checked baggage, Economy Class passengers have 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class passengers have 35kg, and Business Class passengers have 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance shown on your e-ticket is the one that applies, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on most Singapore Airlines services on this route once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. KrisFlyer members enjoy free, unlimited Wi-Fi, and Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Colombo but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport is designed to make layovers comfortable and engaging. If your connection is at least 5.5 to 6 hours and your timing aligns, you may be able to join one of the airport’s free transit tours into the city, allowing you to see key sights before returning for your onward flight.

For shorter layovers, staying airside is very convenient. You can relax in themed gardens, rest areas, and nap zones, or visit facilities such as airport swimming pools, cinemas, and play areas, depending on your terminal. There are also many dining and shopping options close to the gates.
