For flights between Milan and Penang, the weight concept applies. In checked baggage, Economy Class passengers have 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class passengers have 35kg, and Business Class passengers have 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is always shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights on this route once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service is ideal for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Milan to Singapore Airbus A350-900 sector, Economy Class offers a 32-inch seat pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, and Premium Economy Class offers a 38-inch seat pitch with up to 20-inch seat width. Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access for every seat.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The Next Segment Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Milan but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Eligible customers may use Singapore Airlines lounges at Singapore Changi Airport, including the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), and the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, subject to access rules.

Singapore Changi Airport is designed for comfortable transfers, with themed gardens, rest areas, and family-friendly spaces throughout the terminals. If your layover is at least 5.5 to 6 hours, you may have time to join an official city tour, subject to the airport’s current programmes and timings.

For shorter layovers, you can relax in quiet zones, visit indoor gardens, or enjoy facilities such as showers and children’s play areas. Selected terminals also feature attractions like viewing galleries and art installations, giving you plenty to explore without leaving the airport.

Milan follows Central European Time (UTC+1) in winter and Central European Summer Time (UTC+2) from late March to late October. Penang follows Malaysia Time (UTC+8) year-round. This means Penang is 7 hours ahead of Milan in winter, and 6 hours ahead during European summer time.
