For Milan to Penang flights, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (25kg on Lite/Value fares, 30kg on Standard/Flexi fares), Premium Economy Class (35kg), and Business Class (40kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, you may bring 1 piece up to 7kg in Economy Class and Premium Economy Class, and 2 pieces, each up to 7kg, in Business Class. Your exact allowance will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional checked baggage allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Milan–Singapore sector operated by the Airbus A350-900, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of about 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width, Premium Economy Class offers around 38 inches of pitch with up to 20 inches of width, and Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access.

On the Singapore–Penang sector operated by the Boeing 737-8 MAX, Economy Class offers comfortable legroom comparable to our long-haul fleet, and Business Class features recliner seats with enhanced space and privacy for the short regional flight.

On the Milan–Singapore sector, our Airbus A350-900 features seat-back screens with KrisWorld, offering a wide selection of movies, TV shows, music, and games in all cabins. On the Singapore–Penang Boeing 737-8 MAX sector, you can also enjoy a curated range of entertainment options suited to the shorter flight.

On the Milan–Singapore Airbus A350-900 sector, we provide in-seat power and USB ports in all cabins so you can keep phones, tablets, and laptops powered. On the Singapore–Penang Boeing 737-8 MAX sector, power options may be more limited, so we recommend ensuring your devices are well charged before boarding.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

At Singapore Changi Airport, you can enjoy themed gardens, walking trails, play areas, and a wide choice of dining and shopping. For longer layovers of at least 5.5 to 6 hours, you may join an official transit tour of the city, subject to availability and entry requirements. Shorter stops are ideal for exploring the airport's attractions, taking a quick rest, or enjoying a meal. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

When departing from Milan Malpensa (MXP), eligible Singapore Airlines passengers may access the Montale Lounge before their flight, depending on their cabin class or frequent flyer status. Lounge access is determined by the conditions shown on your ticket and membership card at check-in.

During your layover at Singapore Changi Airport, eligible passengers may have access to the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin class and membership status. Our ground staff at Changi Airport will guide you to the appropriate lounge indicated on your boarding pass.

Milan follows Central European Time (UTC+1) in winter and Central European Summer Time (UTC+2) from roughly late March to late October. Penang follows Malaysia Time (UTC+8) all year. This means Penang is 7 hours ahead of Milan in winter, and 6 hours ahead during Milan's summer time.
