  Excess baggage charges are levied based on zonal pricing for the following countries.

  Band 1: Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam
  Band 2: Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Taiwan
  Band 3: Australia, Egypt, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates.
  Band 4: Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom

  • The rate from the table above applies for each occurrence of excess, oversized and/or overweight checked baggage.
  • For flights departing from the United States, bags that weigh 23kg and above will be charged three times the rates shown in the table above.
  • Any bag that weighs above 32kg requires advance arrangement. It may not be accepted as checked baggage and may have to be sent as cargo. Please contact your local SIA office prior to your travel.
