For flights between Bengaluru and Christchurch, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite and Value fares: 25kg; Standard and Flexi fares: 30kg), Premium Economy Class (35kg), and Business Class (40kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance for your trip is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Bengaluru to Christchurch once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Bengaluru but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

In Singapore (SIN), eligible customers may be able to use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), and KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and membership status.

If you have a longer layover in Singapore, you can consider joining one of the official transit tours into the city, which generally require a minimum layover of around 5.5 to 6 hours. These tours allow you to see highlights of Singapore before returning to the airport for your onward flight.

For shorter layovers, staying airside at Singapore Changi Airport is very comfortable. You can enjoy themed gardens, quiet rest areas, entertainment zones, and pay-per-use facilities such as transit hotels and spa services, depending on your terminal.

This means Christchurch is usually 6.5 hours ahead of Bengaluru during NZST, and 7.5 hours ahead during NZDT.
