Throughout the journey, you can enjoy hot and cold drinks, including juices, soft drinks, coffee, and tea. A selection of alcoholic beverages is available in most cabins, and our signature Singapore Sling is available on board.

For flights between Chengdu and Jakarta, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite and Value fares: 25kg; Standard and Flexi: 30kg), Premium Economy Class (35kg), Business Class (40kg), and First Class (50kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are: Economy Class and Premium Economy Class (1 piece up to 7kg), and Business Class and First Class (2 pieces, each up to 7kg). Your final allowance is indicated on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Chengdu to Jakarta once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Chengdu–Singapore Boeing 787-10 sector, Economy Class offers a 32-inch seat pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, while Business Class features a fully flat bed with direct aisle access. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Chengdu but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers a wide range of ways to spend your layover, from themed gardens and art installations to quiet rest areas and airport hotels. With a longer connection, you can join the official free transit tour into the city, which typically requires at least 5.5 hours of layover time. For shorter transits, you can enjoy facilities such as entertainment zones, viewing galleries, and a variety of dining and shopping outlets without leaving the terminal. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

Chengdu follows China Standard Time (UTC+8) all year round and does not observe daylight saving time. Jakarta follows Western Indonesia Time (UTC+7), also without daylight saving. Jakarta is typically 1 hour behind Chengdu throughout the year.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Chengdu–Singapore and Singapore–Jakarta) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Jakarta is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
