For flights between Christchurch and Chennai, our baggage policy follows the weight concept. In Economy Class, checked baggage allowances are 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. In Premium Economy Class, the checked baggage allowance is 35kg, and in Business Class it is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your exact allowance will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet on the Christchurch–Singapore and Singapore–Chennai sectors. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, and Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

At Singapore (SIN), eligible customers may access the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and status.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Christchurch but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers a dedicated Free Singapore Tour for transit passengers with sufficient layover time, typically requiring at least around 5.5 to 6 hours between flights. If your schedule allows, this is a convenient way to see highlights of the city before returning to the terminal.

For shorter layovers, staying airside is very comfortable, with themed gardens, quiet rest zones, art installations, and recreational facilities such as a swimming pool and cinemas in selected terminals. There are also showers and transit hotels if you wish to rest in a private room.
