For flights between Shenzhen and Xiamen, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite and Value fares: 25kg; Standard and Flexi fares: 30kg) and Business Class (40kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, and Business Class may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Shenzhen–Singapore sector operated by the Boeing 737-8 MAX, Economy Class offers a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, while Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access. On the Singapore–Xiamen sector, the same aircraft type offers the same Economy Class and Business Class seating and legroom, ensuring a consistent experience.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Shenzhen but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

With a layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can enjoy spacious terminals, themed gardens, and rest areas without leaving the airport. For longer transits of at least 5.5 to 6 hours, you may consider joining an official transit tour to see some of the city between flights. Shorter layovers are well spent exploring the airport's indoor attractions, dining options, and relaxation zones. Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Xiamen when flying from Shenzhen via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Shenzhen–Singapore and Singapore–Xiamen) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Xiamen is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
