For Taipei–Ahmedabad flights, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (25kg on Lite/Value fares and 30kg on Standard/Flexi fares) and Business Class (40kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are: Economy Class (1 piece up to 7kg) and Business Class (2 pieces, each up to 7kg). The final allowance for your journey is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Taipei to Ahmedabad once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, and Economy Class and Business Class passengers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Taipei but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore (SIN), eligible passengers can use the SilverKris Lounge (First Class) or SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), and KrisFlyer Elite Gold members may use the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge.

Singapore Changi Airport is well suited to spending your layover comfortably. For shorter connections, you can relax in quiet seating zones, explore indoor gardens, or visit play areas and rest zones between gates. There are also numerous dining options and retail outlets across the terminals.

If you have a longer layover and sufficient time before your next flight, you may consider joining one of the airport’s official city transit tour programmes, which typically require several hours between flights. These tours let you see key parts of Singapore before returning airside for your onward journey.
