Please note that no meal service is provided for Economy Class passengers on the Singapore–Penang segment due to the short flight time.

For flights between Brisbane and Penang, the weight concept applies. In Economy Class, the checked baggage allowance is 25kg for Lite and Value fares, and 30kg for Standard and Flexi fares. Business Class guests enjoy 40kg of checked baggage. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class customers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final baggage allowance for your trip will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Business Class customers should ensure their membership number is added to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans on board.

The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic web browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Brisbane–Singapore Airbus A350-900 sector and the Singapore–Penang Boeing 737-8 MAX sector, Economy Class offers a 32-inch seat pitch with up to 19 inches of seat width, providing good comfort for the journey.

Business Class on both sectors features seats that convert into fully flat beds, with every seat offering direct aisle access on the Airbus A350-900 and a spacious, reclining Business Class seat on the Boeing 737-8 MAX designed for shorter regional flights.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

At Singapore Changi Airport, eligible customers may be able to access the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and frequent flyer status.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Brisbane but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport is well suited to both short and longer layovers. For connections of around 5.5 hours or more, you may be able to join an official transit tour into the city, allowing you to see key sights before returning to the airport in time for your onward flight.

For shorter layovers, staying airside gives you access to indoor gardens, art installations, rest areas, and a wide choice of dining options. Depending on your terminal, you may also find play areas, entertainment zones, and transit hotels for additional comfort.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Penang airport when flying from Brisbane via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Brisbane–Singapore and Singapore–Penang) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Penang is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
