For flights between Frankfurt and Jakarta, the weight concept applies. For checked baggage, Economy Class customers may check 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class customers may check 35kg, and Business Class customers may check 40kg. First Class and Suites customers may check 50kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class, First Class, and Suites customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Frankfurt to Jakarta once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Frankfurt–Singapore sector, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of about 32 inches, with up to 19 inches of seat width. Premium Economy Class offers around 38 inches of pitch and up to 20 inches of width. Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access. On Boeing 777-300ER services, First Class offers a fully flat bed, while on Airbus A380-800 services, Suites offer a fully flat bed in a private space.

On the Singapore–Jakarta sector, Economy Class, Premium Economy Class, and Business Class are available with similar comfort to the long-haul sector, and First Class offers a fully flat bed on Boeing 777-300ER services.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

With a layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can enjoy gardens, art installations, quiet zones, and a wide choice of dining and shopping without leaving the terminal. For longer layovers, you may be able to join an official transit tour into the city, subject to minimum connection times and entry requirements. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

At Frankfurt Airport, eligible Singapore Airlines customers may be invited to use partner lounges such as the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge, LH Senator Lufthansa Lounge, or LH Business Lufthansa Lounge, depending on cabin class and frequent flyer status. Lounge access is determined by your departing flight from Frankfurt.

During your transit at Singapore Changi Airport, eligible passengers may be able to access The Private Room, the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), the SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin class and KrisFlyer or Star Alliance status. Access is based on your onward boarding pass from Singapore.

Frankfurt follows Central European Time (UTC+1) in winter and Central European Summer Time (UTC+2) from roughly late March to late October. Jakarta stays on Western Indonesia Time (UTC+7) all year. This means Jakarta is 6 hours ahead of Frankfurt in winter, and 5 hours ahead during summer time in Germany.

Visa and entry requirements for Indonesia depend on your nationality, trip purpose, and length of stay. We recommend checking the latest information with the Indonesian embassy or consulate, or your local authorities, before you travel, as regulations can change.

For flights from Frankfurt to Jakarta via Singapore, we recommend arriving at Frankfurt Airport at least 3 hours before your scheduled departure. This allows enough time for check-in, security, and reaching your departure gate comfortably.

When you arrive in Singapore from Frankfurt, follow the transfer signs to your next gate. If both flights are on a single ticket, your checked baggage is typically tagged through to Jakarta. You can check departure screens and speak with our ground staff if you need assistance or updated gate information.

Depending on the length of your layover, your passport, and entry requirements for Singapore, you may be able to clear immigration and explore the city before returning for your onward flight. Always allow sufficient time to re-enter the terminal, clear formalities, and reach your boarding gate.
