For flights between Shanghai and Penang, our weight-concept baggage policy applies. In Economy Class, checked baggage allowances are 25kg for Lite and Value fares, and 30kg for Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class offers 35kg, Business Class 40kg, and First Class 50kg of checked baggage on eligible sectors. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg in weight. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while First Class and Business Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your exact allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

The tour lets you see key sights while your onward boarding passes and baggage remain handled by the airport. For shorter layovers, staying airside offers plenty to do, from indoor gardens and themed zones to rest areas, showers, and quiet corners to relax. There are also play areas, art installations, and walking routes if you wish to stretch your legs.
