For flights between Colombo and Da Nang, our weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite and Value fares: 25kg; Standard and Flexi fares: 30kg) and Business Class (40kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

Cabin baggage
In Economy Class, you may bring 1 piece of cabin baggage up to 7kg. In Business Class, you may bring 2 pieces of cabin baggage, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service is ideal for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Colombo–Singapore and Singapore–Da Nang sectors, Economy Class provides a 32-inch seat pitch with up to a 19-inch seat width, offering comfortable legroom for regional and medium-haul travel. Business Class features a fully flat bed with generous personal space and direct aisle access on these routes.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

At Singapore (SIN), eligible travellers may be able to use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), and KrisFlyer Gold Lounge.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Colombo but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

If you have at least 5.5 to 6 hours between flights, you can consider joining one of the official transit tours from Singapore Changi Airport that give a quick introduction to the city, subject to eligibility and operating schedules. For shorter layovers, it is best to stay airside and enjoy the airport’s facilities.

Within the terminals, you will find themed gardens, rest areas, snooze zones, children’s play spaces, and a wide choice of dining outlets. Some terminals also offer pay-per-use lounges, showers, and transit hotels for extra comfort between flights.

Colombo follows Asia/Colombo time, which is UTC+5:30 throughout the year and does not observe daylight saving time. Da Nang follows Asia/Ho_Chi_Minh time, which is UTC+7:00 year-round. This means Da Nang is 1 hour 30 minutes ahead of Colombo at all times of the year.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Da Nang International Airport when flying from Colombo via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Colombo–Singapore and Singapore–Da Nang) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Da Nang is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
