For flights between Shenzhen and Chennai, our baggage policy follows the weight concept. In Economy Class, checked baggage allowances are 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. In Business Class, you can check up to 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg in weight.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring one piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring two pieces, each up to 7kg. The final baggage allowance for your journey will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines services on the Shenzhen–Singapore–Chennai route once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

At Singapore (SIN), eligible passengers may be able to use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), and KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, subject to operating hours and capacity.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Shenzhen but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

If you have enough time between flights, Singapore Changi Airport offers a dedicated Free Singapore Tour for transit passengers, typically requiring a layover of at least around 5.5–6 hours. This lets you see highlights of the city before returning for your onward flight.

For shorter layovers, you can stay airside and explore Changi Airport’s many amenities, including themed gardens, quiet rest zones, art installations, and children’s play areas. Selected terminals also offer amenities like cinemas and swimming pools for a relaxing break.

Shenzhen follows China Standard Time (CST), which is UTC+8 and does not observe daylight saving time. Chennai follows India Standard Time (IST), which is UTC+5:30 and also does not change throughout the year. Chennai is therefore 2 hours 30 minutes behind Shenzhen at all times.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:
