For flights between Ahmedabad and Zurich, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite and Value fares: 25kg; Standard and Flexi fares: 30kg), Premium Economy Class (35kg), Business Class (40kg), and First Class (50kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. First Class and Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance for your booking is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Ahmedabad to Zurich once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans on board. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both sectors of your journey, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of around 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width, providing supportive comfort for long flights. This applies on the Airbus A350-900 from Ahmedabad to Singapore and the Boeing 777-300ER from Singapore to Zurich.

On the Singapore to Zurich sector only, Premium Economy Class provides a wider seat with approximately 38-inch pitch and up to 20-inch width, giving extra personal space. First Class on the Boeing 777-300ER features a spacious fully flat bed and an enhanced sense of privacy for a more exclusive long-haul experience.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Eligible customers may be able to use The Private Room, SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, while other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Ahmedabad but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

For longer layovers at Singapore Changi Airport, you can join an official transit tour into the city if your connection meets the minimum time requirement, typically around 5.5 to 6 hours. This lets you see highlights of Singapore between flights before returning comfortably to the terminal.

If you prefer to stay airside, Changi Airport offers themed gardens, rest areas, play zones, and in some terminals, attractions such as slides or swimming pools. You can also find quiet seating, shower facilities, and a wide range of dining and shopping options to refresh between sectors.

For shorter connections, it is best to remain in the transit area and follow the signs to your next gate. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

Zurich follows Central European Time (CET), which is UTC+1 in late autumn and winter (roughly late October to late March), and Central European Summer Time (CEST), which is UTC+2 in spring and summer (roughly late March to late October).
