For flights between Hangzhou and Penang, the weight concept applies. For checked baggage, Economy Class passengers have an allowance of 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Business Class passengers may check up to 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final baggage allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on most Singapore Airlines aircraft on the Hangzhou to Penang route once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Hangzhou but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers extensive facilities that make layovers pleasant, including indoor gardens, quiet rest areas, children’s play zones, and a wide range of dining and shopping options. For shorter connections, staying airside gives you time to relax, freshen up, and explore your terminal at a comfortable pace.

For longer layovers of at least 5.5 to 6 hours, you may be able to join an official transit tour of Singapore, subject to eligibility and timing, giving you a brief introduction to the city before returning to the airport. Alternatively, you can book an airport hotel or lounge access to rest between flights.
