For flights between Kathmandu and Medan, the weight concept applies to checked baggage. For checked baggage, Economy Class customers have an allowance of 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Business Class customers may check in up to 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class customers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance for your trip is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Shorter connections are best spent enjoying the airport's indoor gardens, relaxation zones, and family-friendly spaces. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

If your Kathmandu to Medan journey is booked on a single Singapore Airlines itinerary, we will usually check your checked baggage through to Medan at Kathmandu. You will receive baggage tags with Medan as the final destination, and you can follow the transfer signs at Singapore Changi Airport without collecting your bags.

Kathmandu follows Nepal Time (UTC+5:45) all year. Medan follows Western Indonesia Time (UTC+7:00) and does not observe daylight saving time. Medan is 1 hour 15 minutes ahead of Kathmandu throughout the year.

You will depart from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and arrive at Medan's airport serving the city in North Sumatra, with a transit at Singapore Changi Airport in between. Your booking confirmation will show the exact terminal details for each sector.

We recommend that you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport at least 3 hours before your scheduled departure to Singapore, as you will complete check-in, security checks, and exit formalities before boarding your flight.

Transit visa requirements for Singapore depend on your nationality and travel documents. Many passengers can transit airside without a visa, but we always advise checking the latest entry and transit rules with official sources or your local Singapore mission before you travel.
