For flights between Medan and Shenzhen, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite and Value fares: 25kg; Standard and Flexi fares: 30kg) and Business Class (40kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members have additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Medan–Singapore and Singapore–Shenzhen sectors operated by the Boeing 737-8 MAX, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of around 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width. Business Class provides a fully flat bed on this route, giving you extra personal space and comfort.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Medan but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore, eligible passengers may be able to use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and status.

With a layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can enjoy a wide variety of airside attractions, including indoor gardens, rest zones, play areas, and curated art installations. For longer layovers, you may have time for the airport's official city tours, which typically require several hours between flights and advance planning. Shorter connections are easily spent exploring the terminals, where you will find showers, relaxation spaces, and a broad choice of dining and shopping. Medan follows Asia/Jakarta time, which is UTC+7 all year and does not observe daylight saving time. Shenzhen follows Asia/Chongqing time, which is UTC+8 and also does not observe daylight saving time. Shenzhen is therefore 1 hour ahead of Medan throughout the year.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:
