For flights between Xiamen and Cebu, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite/Value fares: 25kg; Standard/Flexi: 30kg) and Business Class (40kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage: Economy Class (1 piece, up to 7kg) and Business Class (2 pieces, each up to 7kg). Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Xiamen to Cebu via Singapore once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Business Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Xiamen–Singapore and Singapore–Cebu sectors operated by the Boeing 737-8 MAX, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of about 32 inches and up to 19 inches of seat width. Business Class features a fully flat bed-style seat on long-haul aircraft types, but on the Boeing 737-8 MAX it is a spacious recliner-style seat with generous legroom and width, and every seat has direct aisle access on applicable configurations.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The Next Segment Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Xiamen but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. At Singapore (SIN), eligible passengers may be invited to the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin and status.

If you have a longer layover at Singapore Changi Airport, consider joining one of the official transit tours into the city, which typically require a minimum layover of around 5.5 to 6 hours. These tours let you see key highlights before returning comfortably in time for your next flight.

For shorter layovers, staying airside offers plenty to enjoy, including themed gardens, rest areas, and curated art and design features throughout the terminals. You can also explore a wide variety of dining options and quiet corners to relax or work between flights.

If you prefer to freshen up or rest, you may choose from airport hotels or paid lounges within the terminals, subject to availability and eligibility. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

Xiamen follows China Standard Time, which is UTC+8 all year and does not observe daylight saving time. Cebu follows Philippine Time, also UTC+8, without daylight saving time. This means there is no time difference between Xiamen and Cebu at any time of the year.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Xiamen–Singapore and Singapore–Cebu) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Cebu is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
