Beverage Service
A selection of hot and cold drinks is available throughout your journey, including juices, soft drinks, tea, and coffee. Our signature Singapore Sling is also served on board, so you can enjoy a classic drink as you travel between Medan, Singapore, and Taipei.

For Medan–Taipei flights, the weight concept applies to checked baggage. In Economy Class, the checked baggage allowance is 25kg for Lite and Value fares, and 30kg for Standard and Flexi fares. In Business Class, the checked baggage allowance is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance for your trip will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet on eligible Medan–Singapore and Singapore–Taipei sectors. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their KrisFlyer number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans.

The connection is ideal for messaging, email, and basic browsing. It does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers, so we recommend planning any high-bandwidth activities for when you arrive.

You may be able to use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge during your transit, depending on your eligibility.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Medan but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers a wide range of facilities that make layovers comfortable and engaging. With a sufficient connection time, you can join the airport’s free transit tour, which typically requires a layover of at least 5.5 hours, to see highlights of the city without managing your own arrangements.

For shorter layovers, staying airside gives you access to indoor gardens, relaxation areas, quiet zones, and, in some terminals, features such as swimming pools or cinemas. There are many dining and shopping options spread across the terminals, so you can explore at your own pace between flights.

If you prefer to rest, look for snooze areas or consider booking an airport hotel room within the terminal complex for a few hours of sleep and a shower. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

Medan follows the Asia/Jakarta time zone, which is UTC+7 throughout the year and does not observe daylight saving time. Taipei uses the Asia/Taipei time zone at UTC+8, also without daylight saving time. This means Taipei is 1 hour ahead of Medan at all times of the year.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:
