For flights between Colombo and Phnom Penh, our baggage policy follows the weight concept. In checked baggage, Economy Class customers may bring 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares, while Business Class customers may bring up to 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class customers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, and Business Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance for your journey is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Colombo to Phnom Penh once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Colombo to Singapore and Singapore to Phnom Penh sectors, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, providing comfortable legroom for the journey. Business Class features a fully flat bed with generous personal space and direct aisle access on wide-body aircraft, and lie-flat or deeply reclining seats with ample legroom and easy aisle access on the Boeing 737-8 MAX.

Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available. Eligible customers may be able to use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin and status.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The Next Segment Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Colombo but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

If you have a longer layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can join an official transit tour into the city, typically available for layovers of around 5.5 hours or more, subject to programme conditions. For shorter connections, you can stay airside and enjoy gardens, relaxation areas, and showers.

Singapore Changi Airport also offers family-friendly play zones, walking routes, and a wide range of dining and shopping, so you can stretch your legs between flights. Quiet rest areas and transit hotels are available if you prefer to sleep or work in a more private space.

Colombo operates on Sri Lanka Standard Time, which is UTC+5:30 and does not observe daylight saving time. Phnom Penh uses Indochina Time, which is UTC+7:00 and also does not observe daylight saving time. Phnom Penh is therefore 1 hour 30 minutes ahead of Colombo throughout the year.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Phnom Penh International Airport when flying from Colombo via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Colombo–Singapore and Singapore–Phnom Penh) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Phnom Penh is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
