For flights between Male and Jakarta, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite and Value fares: 25kg; Standard and Flexi: 30kg), Premium Economy Class (35kg), Business Class (40kg), and First Class (50kg) on the Singapore–Jakarta sector. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are: Economy Class and Premium Economy Class (1 piece up to 7kg), and Business Class and First Class (2 pieces, each up to 7kg). Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on this route once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, although Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase paid plans. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Male–Singapore sector, Economy Class offers a 32-inch pitch with up to a 19-inch seat width, while Premium Economy Class where offered provides a 38-inch pitch with up to a 20-inch seat width, and Business Class features a fully flat bed with direct aisle access on the Airbus A350-900. On the Singapore–Jakarta sector, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class have the same respective seat dimensions, and Business Class again offers fully flat beds with direct aisle access, while First Class provides a spacious fully flat bed on the Boeing 777-300ER.

Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Male but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore (SIN), eligible customers may be invited to relax in The Private Room, SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and status.

Singapore Changi Airport offers extensive facilities that make layovers comfortable and engaging. For longer layovers of at least 5.5 to 6 hours, you may be able to join an official transit tour into the city, subject to eligibility and timing. For shorter stays, you can enjoy themed gardens, quiet rest areas, and family zones airside.

The terminals feature a wide choice of dining, shopping, and relaxation spaces, as well as facilities such as nap areas and transit hotels where available. Clear signage, efficient security, and helpful staff make moving between gates and terminals straightforward.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Male–Singapore and Singapore–Jakarta) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Jakarta is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
