For flights between Manchester and Chennai, our baggage policy follows the weight concept. In checked baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class passengers may bring 35kg, and Business Class passengers may bring 40kg; each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final baggage allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights on this route once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. Wi-Fi access is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service supports messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Manchester–Singapore and Singapore–Chennai sectors, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of around 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width, providing comfortable legroom for long journeys. The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Manchester but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore, eligible passengers may access facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), and KrisFlyer Gold Lounge.

If you have at least about 5.5 to 6 hours between flights, you can consider joining one of the airport’s free transit tours into the city, which showcase key sights before returning you airside in time for your connection.

For shorter layovers, staying in the transit area is comfortable and convenient. You can enjoy indoor gardens, quiet rest zones, children’s play areas, and art installations, or refresh yourself at pay-per-use lounges and airport hotels located within or close to the terminals.
