Beverage Service
Throughout the long-haul flight, you can enjoy a selection of hot and cold drinks, including juices, soft drinks, tea, and coffee. Our signature Singapore Sling is also available on board. Please note that no meal service is provided for Economy Class passengers on the Singapore–Kuala Lumpur segment due to the short flight time.

For journeys between New York and Kuala Lumpur, the piece concept applies. For checked baggage, Premium Economy Class customers may check in 2 pieces, each up to 23kg, and Business Class customers may check in 2 pieces, each up to 32kg. Each individual piece must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Premium Economy Class customers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final baggage allowance for your trip will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members have additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on our aircraft once we are above 10,000 feet. KrisFlyer members enjoy free, unlimited Wi-Fi; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase plans on board. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the New York to Singapore sector operated by the Airbus A350-900, Premium Economy Class seats offer a 38-inch pitch and up to 20-inch seat width, providing extra space for long-haul comfort. Business Class seats convert into a fully flat bed, with every seat offering direct aisle access for ease of movement.

On the Singapore to Kuala Lumpur sector operated by the Boeing 737-8 MAX, Economy Class seats typically offer a 32-inch pitch and up to 19-inch seat width, while Business Class seats convert into a fully flat bed, giving you ample space to stretch out even on the short sector.

On the Singapore to Kuala Lumpur sector, you can continue to enjoy a tailored entertainment selection suited to the shorter flight time.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Singapore Changi Airport offers gardens, quiet zones, rest areas, and a range of dining and shopping, making it comfortable to stay airside between flights. With a longer layover, you may be able to join an official transit tour into the city, which usually requires several hours of buffer time. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait – it is an integral part of your journey.

At New York John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK), eligible Singapore Airlines customers may be invited to partner lounges such as the Virgin Clubhouse, Capital One Lounge, or Air India Maharaja Lounge, depending on their cabin class and frequent flyer status. At Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), Lounge & Co may be available to eligible customers. Access is determined by your departure airport, class of travel, and KrisFlyer or Star Alliance status.

For most through-ticketed itineraries from New York to Kuala Lumpur on Singapore Airlines, we check your baggage through to your final destination, so you do not need to collect it in Singapore.
