For flights between Shanghai and Dhaka, our weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (25kg on Lite/Value fares; 30kg on Standard/Flexi fares), Premium Economy Class (35kg) where available on the Shanghai–Singapore sector, Business Class (40kg), and First Class (50kg) on selected Shanghai–Singapore services. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class and First Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Shanghai to Dhaka once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans on board. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both sectors of this route, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of about 32 inches and up to 19 inches of seat width, providing good comfort for the journey. On services with Premium Economy Class between Shanghai and Singapore, you can enjoy a 38-inch pitch and up to 20-inch seat width.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Shanghai but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore (SIN), eligible customers may be invited to lounges such as The Private Room, SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin and status.

Singapore Changi Airport offers extensive facilities, from themed gardens and art installations to rest zones and a wide choice of dining. With a longer layover of around 5.5 hours or more, you may be able to join an official transit tour into the city, subject to operating hours and eligibility.

For shorter layovers, you can stay airside and enjoy attractions such as viewing decks, quiet areas, and, in some terminals, play zones and entertainment spaces. Airport hotels and nap facilities are also available if you would like a rest between flights.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Dhaka is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
