For flights between Zurich and Kolkata, the weight concept applies. For checked baggage, Economy Class guests may check 25kg on Lite and Value fares, or 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class guests may check 35kg, Business Class guests 40kg, and First Class guests 50kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class guests may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class and First Class guests may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on board once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, with Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members needing to add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Zurich to Singapore sector operated by the Boeing 777-300ER, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch and up to 19-inch seat width, Premium Economy Class offers a 38-inch pitch and up to 20-inch seat width, while Business Class and First Class provide fully flat beds with generous personal space. On the Singapore to Kolkata sector operated by the Airbus A350-900, Economy Class offers a 32-inch pitch and up to 19-inch seat width, and Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access for every seat.

On both the Zurich–Singapore and Singapore–Kolkata sectors, our inflight entertainment system offers a wide range of movies, TV programmes, music, and games. You can start enjoying content soon after take-off and continue until just before landing, with options for different languages and interests.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Singapore Changi Airport offers a wide range of ways to relax during your layover, from themed gardens and quiet rest areas to family zones and a swimming pool in selected terminals. With a longer transit, you can join the official Free Singapore Tour, which typically requires at least a 5.5-hour layover, subject to operating hours and eligibility. For shorter transits, you can enjoy comfortable seating, showers, dining, and shopping without leaving the terminal. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

At Zurich Airport, eligible Singapore Airlines passengers may access partner lounges such as Senator Lounge E and SWISS Business Lounge E before their departure. Lounge access depends on your cabin class and frequent flyer status, so please check your booking or with our staff at check-in.

If your layover in Singapore is long enough and you meet entry requirements, you may choose to leave the airport to explore the city independently or join the official Free Singapore Tour. Always allow sufficient time to clear immigration and security and to return to your gate before boarding.

Zurich follows Central European Time (UTC+1) in winter and Central European Summer Time (UTC+2) roughly from late March to late October. Kolkata follows India Standard Time (UTC+5:30) year-round. This means Kolkata is 4.5 hours ahead of Zurich in winter, and 3.5 hours ahead during Zurichs summer time.

For international flights from Zurich to Kolkata via Singapore, we recommend arriving at Zurich Airport at least 3 hours before your scheduled departure. This allows enough time for check-in, security checks, and getting to your departure gate without rushing.
