TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The Programme is a loyalty program which has as its objective, the promotion of the purchase of goods or use of services provided by Singapore Airlines or any partner specified by Singapore Airlines. HighFlyer, HighFlyer points and the HighFlyer Co-Brand Corporate Card are part of such loyalty program operated by Singapore Airlines (i.e. the Program). Singapore Airlines does not purport (whether through the Program, HighFlyer, HighFlyer points and the HighFlyer Co-Brand Corporate Card or otherwise) to operate a payment service regulated under the Payment Services Act and Singapore Airlines is not licensed, approved, registered or regulated under the Payment Services Act. Consequently, holders of HighFlyer points and participants in the Program will not be afforded the relevant protections set out in the Payment Services Act and related subsidiary legislation, regulations, circulars, notices, directions and guidelines. Should HighFlyer points be able to be purchased, such purchased HighFlyer Points may only be redeemed in Singapore for the payment or part payment of goods or services (or both) provided by Singapore Airlines and/or the related corporations of Singapore Airlines.For tickets purchased in Italy, please refer to the HighFlyer Terms and Conditions located here.
Unless the contrary intention appears or the capitalized term is defined elsewhere in these terms and conditions, Capitalized terms shall have the meaning set out in this section.
|‘Singapore Airlines’||shall refer to Singapore Airlines Limited.|
|‘HighFlyer’ or ‘Programme’||shall refer to Singapore Airlines HighFlyer.|
|‘HighFlyer points’||shall refer to the HighFlyer points awarded by Singapore Airlines under the HighFlyer Programme.|
|‘CTM’||shall refer to the Corporate Travel Manager of the participating Business.|
|‘ACTM’||shall refer to an Assistant Corporate Travel Manager of the participating Business.|
|'Business'||shall refer to the applicant business or corporate body or entity and includes a partnership and sole proprietorship.|
|’HighFlyer Co-Brand Corporate Card‘||means a corporate credit or charge card issued by American Express International, Inc which bears the name, mark and/or logo of HighFlyer.|
1.1. Singapore Airlines HighFlyer is only open to (a) Businesses that are not already enrolled on or participating in any other Singapore Airlines corporate travel programme and (b) any Business to whom or in relation to whom a HighFlyer Co-Brand Corporate Card is for the time being issued.
1.2. The applicant Business must be a bona fide business entity and where applicable, officially registered with the national business or company Registry of its home country and are able to show such proof of registration upon request. Applications that fail to adduce the required evidence shall be dealt with in Singapore Airlines’ sole discretion.
1.3. Singapore Airlines HighFlyer may not be available in every country. The availability of the programme in each country is subject to updates and changes made without prior notice, and in Singapore Airlines’ sole discretion.
1.4. Individuals, travel agents, ticket brokerage firms and consolidators are not eligible to enroll in the Singapore Airlines HighFlyer Programme. Singapore Airlines may however at its sole discretion permit exceptions on a case by case basis.
1.5. Multiple enrolments by a single Business in the same country at any point in time is not allowed.
1.6. Membership enrolment fee is waived until further notice.
1.7. Singapore Airlines reserves the right to reject any application for membership to Singapore Airlines HighFlyer.
1.8. Application for the Programme must be made online via singaporeair.com/highflyer by an authorized representative of the Business.
1.9. During registration, the contact information and all other mandatory fields in the online registration form must be provided. Applications with inaccurate or incomplete information will be rejected.
1.10. The main point of contact in the Business with respect to its membership in HighFlyer will be referred to as the Business’ Corporate Travel Manager (‘CTM’). The CTM is also personally responsible for all transactions relating to the Business’ HighFlyer account.
1.11. No individual can be appointed as the CTM for more than one HighFlyer account except in such situations as Singapore Airlines may at its sole discretion permit.
1.12. Upon enrolment, a Corporate Code, HighFlyer Membership Number, and the corporate online booking platform’s login Username and Password will be emailed to the CTM.
1.13. In order for the Business to begin to earn HighFlyer points from their employees’ air travel, the travelling employee must be associated with the Business’ HighFlyer account as Corporate Travelers (‘CT’) and each CT must hold a valid personal KrisFlyer membership. Only the CTM and their Assistants (‘ACTM’) may add or remove CTs to the Business’ HighFlyer account.
1.14. Each CT cannot be concurrently associated with more than one HighFlyer account.
1.15. KrisFlyer membership terms and conditions shall continue to apply to each KrisFlyer account that is associated with a HighFlyer account.
1.16. If no transactions are made under the Company’s HighFlyer account within twelve (12) months of enrolment, the account will automatically expire. However, if a HighFlyer Co-Brand Corporate Card has been issued to or in relation to the Business, the Business may continue to accrue HighFlyer points through the use of the HighFlyer Co-Brand Corporate Card.
1.17. If no transaction (whether accrual or redemption) is made under the Business’ HighFlyer account within any period of 36 months, the account will automatically expire. Upon expiry, all the HighFlyer points accumulated under the Business’ HighFlyer account will be forfeited with immediate effect. However, if a HighFlyer Co-Brand Corporate Card has been issued to or in relation to the Business, the Business may continue to accrue HighFlyer points through the use of the HighFlyer Co-Brand Corporate Card.
1.18. Singapore Airlines reserves the right to suspend, permanently exclude the Business from further participation in, or terminate the Business’ HighFlyer membership upon the occurrence of the following events:
- The Business has contravened any term or rule of membership of HighFlyer.
- The Business has acted dishonestly in relation to the HighFlyer membership.
- The Business has failed to provide supporting evidence, upon the request of Singapore Airlines, to prove that the CTs claiming HighFlyer points are travelling employees of the Company.
- The operation of the Program results in Singapore Airlines having to be licensed, approved, registered or regulated under the Payment Services Act.
- The operation of the Program results in or could result in Singapore Airlines being in breach of the Payment Services Act.
- The Authorities (including but not limited to the Monetary Authority of Singapore) instructing or directing Singapore Airlines to cease the operation of the Program or to otherwise restructure the Program.
This list of events is non-exhaustive and Singapore Airlines reserves the right to terminate any Business’ HighFlyer account for any reasons Singapore Airlines shall in its sole discretion see fit. Singapore Airlines will, on a goodwill basis, endeavor to contact the Business by email or phone in order to resolve any discrepancies or non-compliance. In the event that Singapore Airlines has been unable to contact the Business within 28 days of the occurrence of such discrepancy or non-compliance, or the Business is unable to rectify such discrepancies or non-compliance within such period of time, Singapore Airlines reserves the right to terminate the Business’ HighFlyer membership and close the Business’ account.
1.19. The Business acknowledges that if the HighFlyer account is suspended, the HighFlyer points may not be used for any further transactions. Due to the predetermined validity of the HighFlyer points, these HighFlyer points may expire during the suspension period. The Business may use the remaining unexpired HighFlyer points once the suspension of the membership is lifted. If the Business is permanently excluded from membership or has its membership terminated in HighFlyer, any HighFlyer point accrued shall be revoked and forfeited without compensation. Whether the Business is suspended, permanently excluded or its membership is terminated, the Business shall be liable for all damages, costs of litigation and any other associated costs that may arise as a result of the Business’ suspension or termination from the Programme.
2.1. The Business’ CTM may nominate an ACTM as a backup administrator to manage its HighFlyer account.
2.2. At any time, each Business is allowed to have a maximum of three (3) ACTMs, as well as a maximum of thirty (30) CTs associated to its HighFlyer account.
2.3. Within 1 month of enrolment (“settle-in period”), the Business is permitted to make unlimited changes to its list of CTs who are associated to its HighFlyer account, subject to a maximum number of thirty (30) CTs at any time.
2.4. After the settle-in period, the number of changes that the Business can make to its list of CTs shall be restricted to five (5) per month. A change includes both additions and deletions of CTs.
2.5. In the event that an employee should cease employment with the Business, the Business should remove the employee from its list of CTs as soon as practicable.
2.6. If the Business should begin participation in any alternative Singapore Airlines corporate travel programme, its HighFlyer account will cease to accrue HighFlyer points and any accumulated HighFlyer points would have to be utilized within three (3) months of acceptance into the other Singapore Airlines corporate travel programme. Failing which, the HighFlyer points accumulated under the Business’ HighFlyer account will be forfeited, unless SIA, in its sole and absolute discretion, extends the usage period of such HighFlyer points. However, if a HighFlyer Co-Brand Corporate Card has been issued to or in relation to the Business, the Business may continue to accrue HighFlyer points through the use of the HighFlyer Co-Brand Corporate Card.
3.1 Each Business’ CT(s), CTM and ACTM(s) may purchase tickets through Singapore Airlines’ online corporate booking platform, any Singapore Airlines’ ticket offices, contact centre, or via Singapore Airlines’ appointed travel agents. Tickets issued via the Singapore Airlines mobile application are not eligible for accrual of HighFlyer points.
3.2 The Business’ corporate ID and the traveler’s personal KrisFlyer membership number must be provided at the time of booking, failing which, HighFlyer points would not be accrued to the Business’ HighFlyer account.
4.1. HighFlyer points are the base unit of measurement within the HighFlyer programme.
4.2 All Companies in the HighFlyer programme shall each have their own HighFlyer account in which they would accrue HighFlyer points. HighFlyer points may not be exchanged outright for cash.
4.3 HighFlyer points can only be earned on SQ operated flights issued on SQ tickets (“eligible flights”), excluding SQ codeshare flights operated by other airlines. An exception would apply to selected codeshare flights that are operated by Lufthansa, Swiss and Scoot.
HighFlyer points can be earned on selected Lufthansa (LH) and Swiss (LX) operated flights when issued on Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa, or SWISS tickets. Tickets issued on or after 2 April 2018 for travel from Singapore or Australia to Germany, Switzerland, Austria or Belgium, would be eligible.
HighFlyer points can be earned on selected Scoot (TR) operated flights when issued on Singapore Airlines’ tickets. Tickets issued on or after 2 May 2018 for travel on Singapore Airlines itineraries with connections onto Scoot would be eligible.
4.4 The Business accrues HighFlyer points in its HighFlyer account whenever an associated CT with a valid KrisFlyer membership completes an eligible flight and all the required information, including but not limited to a valid corporate ID was provided at the time of booking.
4.5 Only publicly available fares may accrue HighFlyer points on eligible flights. For the avoidance of doubt, group fares, child and infant fares, promotional fares and negotiated or contracted fares are excluded from HighFlyer points accruals.
4.6 Tickets issued in Q, N, V, or K booking classes do not qualify for the accrual of HighFlyer points.
4.7 HighFlyer points will not be awarded for the following scenarios:
- Where tickets had been issued before the Business was enrolled in HighFlyer, or
- Where the travelling passenger had not registered as a CT prior to flight date.
4.8 No HighFlyer points will be accrued on eligible flights if the Company’s HighFlyer account has been suspended or if the CT’s KrisFlyer account has been suspended.
4.9 The number of HighFlyer points earned for each eligible flight is the product of the base fare excluding airport taxes, government surcharges and distribution expenses, in Singapore Dollars, and the accrual rate for the ticketed booking class.
4.10 Singapore Airlines reserves the right to revise the accrual rates at its sole discretion, without any prior notification.
4.11 Subject to the terms and conditions of the KrisFlyer programme, each CT will continue to earn KrisFlyer miles, while the Business simultaneously earns HighFlyer points on their CTs’ eligible flights.
4.12 HighFlyer points accrued by the Business are not transferrable between different HighFlyer accounts.
4.13 The HighFlyer points accrued on eligible flights may take up to 4 weeks to be updated in the Company’s HighFlyer account, which can be accessed through the online corporate booking platform by the CTM and ACTM(s).
4.14 In the unlikely event that the HighFlyer points were not accrued following an eligible flight, the CTM may submit a retroactive HighFlyer points claim request through the corporate booking platform within 6 months of the flight date. Claims made after 6 months will not be considered.
4.15 From time to time, the Company may be eligible to earn bonus HighFlyer points from designated HighFlyer programme partners. If earned, such bonus HighFlyer points may take a longer time to reflect within the Company’s HighFlyer account.
4.16 A Business' HighFlyer points will expire after three (3) years at 2359h Singapore time (GMT +0800h) on the last day of the equivalent month in which they were earned. E.g. HighFlyer points credited to a Business' HighFlyer account in July 2017 would expire at 2359h Singapore time (GMT +0800h) on 31 July 2020.
4.17 The validity of the HighFlyer points shall not be extended. All expired HighFlyer points will be forfeited.
5.1. HighFlyer points accrued can only be used to redeem for Singapore Airlines tickets purchased through the online corporate booking platform, at the rates stated on any publicly available air fares. The HighFlyer points cannot be used for tickets purchased through any other means, including travel agents or Singapore Airlines Ticket Offices/Contact Centers. The redeemed ticket may only be issued to and used by a CT who is already associated to the Company’s HighFlyer account. Such redemption for tickets including airport taxes may be made partially or completely by HighFlyer points.
5.2. HighFlyer points can be used to redeem for a Preferred Seat Selection purchase.
5.3. A minimum of 980 HighFlyer points is required to have been accumulated in each Company’s account before HighFlyer points may be utilized for full or part redemption of tickets. Singapore Airlines reserves the right to vary the minimum number of HighFlyer points required at its sole discretion.
5.4. HighFlyer points cannot be used in the KrisFlyer programme or exchanged for cash.
5.5. Only the Business’ CTM and ACTM(s) are authorized to make transactions with the Business’ HighFlyer points for the purpose of redeeming for tickets and Preferred Seat Selection purchases.
5.6 If the HighFlyer points are used for partial redemption of air tickets, the balance paid by other forms of payment besides HighFlyer points, such as cash, shall be eligible for accrual of HighFlyer points, subject to HighFlyer programme’s terms and conditions on the accrual of HighFlyer points.
5.7 A ticket acquired via redemption of HighFlyer points may not be upgraded using the CT’s individual KrisFlyer miles.
5.8 HighFlyer points to KrisFlyer miles conversion
- Only Corporate Travel Managers and Assistant Corporate Travel Managers with the access to use HighFlyer points may convert HighFlyer points to KrisFlyer miles, which will be credited into the KrisFlyer account of any selected Corporate Traveller ('Selected KrisFlyer Account').
- The Selected KrisFlyer Account receiving the miles must be valid at the time of submission of the points conversion form, and the KrisFlyer member must be a valid Corporate Traveller.
- Once the HighFlyer points have been converted to KrisFlyer miles, the transaction may not be reversed to credit the HighFlyer points back to the HighFlyer account.
- Subject to Clause 5.8(e), each Selected KrisFlyer Account shall only receive a maximum of 30,000 KrisFlyer miles converted from HighFlyer points per calendar year, regardless of which HighFlyer account(s) the HighFlyer points are converted from.
- Each HighFlyer account:
- shall only be linked to a maximum of 5 Selected KrisFlyer Accounts in relation to the conversion of HighFlyer points to KrisFlyer miles; and
- shall only be allowed to convert HighFlyer points to a maximum of 150,000 KrisFlyer miles per calendar year.
5.9 Scoot e-voucher
a. Voucher refers to HighFlyer Scoot vouchers and not to other vouchers offered by Scoot.
b. The voucher entitles the holder to credit (of amounts specified in the voucher) that may be applied toward travel on Scoot operated flights. The voucher is not usable on flights operated by Singapore Airlines, NokScoot, and Virgin Australia and current and future Scoot interline partners, e.g., Aegean Airlines, and Olympic Air; and members of the value Alliance: Cebu Pacific, Cebgo, Nok Air, Vanilla Air, Jeju Air, and Tigerair Australia.
c. To redeem HighFlyer points for HighFlyer Scoot vouchers, the Corporate Travel Manager (CTM) must log into the online corporate booking platform to perform the transaction.
d. A maximum of 10 vouchers can be issued within the same transaction, in denominations of SGD10, SGD50, SGD100 and SGD500.
e. A voucher once issued is not refundable.
f. The voucher may only be used by corporate travellers of the same Business registered in the HighFlyer programme whose points have been used to redeem the voucher(s).
g. Multiple passengers in an itinerary may combine their own vouchers to offset redemption for the same itinerary.
h. The voucher may be combined with other Scoot travel vouchers to offset redemption for the same itinerary. Individual voucher conditions are applicable.
i. The voucher is valid for redemption of fares, ancillary services, online change fees unless otherwise stated.
j. The voucher is not valid for e-visa, travel insurance, Scoot Protect, infant fares, and card processing fees, infant fees.
k. The voucher is only valid for redemption for online bookings at flyscoot.com.
l. The voucher is not valid for redemption for travel agent or group travel bookings.
m. The voucher is not valid for redemption for any airport or inflight purchases or services.
n. The voucher is valid for 180 days from the date of voucher issuance.
o. Travel must be booked before the voucher expiry date.
p. The HighFlyer Scoot voucher validity period cannot be extended.
q. All standard fare rules and conditions of the fare(s) redeemed apply.
r. If the value of the itinerary exceeds the HighFlyer Scoot voucher value, the difference will need to be paid using a credit card. Payment by offline methods such as AXS is not allowed.
s. If a HighFlyer Scoot voucher balance remains after redemption, it will be forfeited.
t. No cash or credit alternative will be offered if the HighFlyer Scoot voucher is not redeemed.
u. Singapore Airlines and Scoot do not accept any responsibility in the event that you are unable to utilise the HighFlyer Scoot voucher.
v. Singapore Airlines and Scoot reserve the right to cancel or amend the Terms and Conditions without notice, at any time.
5.10 Lufthansa and SWISS e-voucher
a. Voucher refers to HighFlyer Lufthansa vouchers and SWISS vouchers and not to other vouchers offered by Lufthansa or SWISS. The voucher can only be redeemed by corporate accounts registered in Singapore or Australia.
b. The voucher entitles the holder to credit (of amounts specified in the voucher) that may be applied toward travel originating from Singapore only. To redeem HighFlyer points for HighFlyer Lufthansa and HighFlyer SWISS vouchers, the Corporate Travel Manager (CTM) must make a request to firstname.lastname@example.org, indicating the number of vouchers to redeem.
c. Multiple vouchers can be issued within the same request. The vouchers are only issued in a single denomination of SGD50.
d. A voucher once issued is not refundable.
e. The voucher may only be used by corporate travellers of the same Business registered in the HighFlyer programme whose points have been used to redeem the voucher(s).
f. Multiple passengers in an itinerary may combine their own vouchers to offset airfares for the same itinerary.
g. The voucher may be combined with other Lufthansa and SWISS travel vouchers to offset airfares for the same itinerary. Individual voucher conditions are applicable.
h. The voucher is valid for payment of fares, unless otherwise stated.
i. The voucher is only valid for redemption for online bookings at Lufthansa.com or Swissair.com
j. The voucher is not valid for redemption for travel agent or group travel bookings.
k. The voucher is not valid for redemption for any airport or inflight purchases or services.
l. The voucher is valid for 30 days from the date of voucher issuance.
m. Travel must be booked before the voucher expiry date.
n. The voucher validity period cannot be extended.
o. All standard fare rules and conditions of the fare(s) redeemed apply.
p. If the value of the itinerary exceeds the voucher value, the difference will need to be paid using other available payment methods.
q. If a voucher balance remains after redemption, it will be forfeited.
r. No cash or credit alternative will be offered if the voucher is not redeemed.
s. Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa, and SWISS do not accept any responsibility in the event that you are unable to utilise the voucher.
t. Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa, and SWISS reserve the right to cancel or amend these Terms and Conditions without notice, at any time.
6.1 Singapore Airlines reserves the right to change any Programme rules or Programme benefits without prior notice, even if such changes may affect the value of HighFlyer points or awards already accumulated by any Business. Singapore Airlines reserves the right at any time, to effect any changes regarding but not limited to the following:
- HighFlyer programme partners or participating organisations.
- The rules relating to the earning or accrual HighFlyer points.
- The rules relating to the use or redemption of HighFlyer points and the cities served.
- The features of special offers and promotions. Awards from Programme partners are dependent on the partner's continued participation in the HighFlyer Programme.
6.2 In the event where Singapore Airlines discovers any Business abusing or inappropriately using its HighFlyer account or its benefits, as shall be determined in Singapore Airlines’ sole discretion, the HighFlyer account may be immediately suspended and prevented from performing further transactions. In such an event, the reinstatement of the account shall be allowed only at Singapore Airlines’ sole discretion
6.4 Singapore Airlines makes no representations as to any income, use, excise or other tax liability of the Business or the Business’ CTs as a result of the Business’ membership of or participation in HighFlyer. Such a tax liability may arise, for example, if the Business obtains HighFlyer points as a result of business expenditure. The Business and the Business’ CTs are advised to check with an accountant or tax adviser for further information.
6.5 The Company is solely responsible for any tax liability incurred as a result of membership of or participation in HighFlyer.
6.6 The sale or barter of any benefits of the HighFlyer Programme is prohibited and will result in cancellation of these benefits. Businesses that breach this rule may also be liable for damages, litigation and transaction costs.
6.7 Singapore Airlines reserves the right to audit the Business’ HighFlyer account for compliance with the Programme's Terms and Conditions at any time and without prior notice.
6.8 Singapore Airlines reserves the right to terminate the Programme or any part thereof, at any time and regardless of notice, even if such termination may affect the Business’ right to accrue or redeem HighFlyer points. Singapore Airlines is not liable to any Business for any losses that may arise as a result of any changes or termination made to the programme.
6.9 Singapore Airlines shall not be held liable for any product and service offered or promised by a Programme partner. Singapore Airlines will not be held liable for any losses or damage that may arise as a result of contracting with a HighFlyer Programme partner.
6.10 Singapore Airlines reserves the right to assign or deal with these Terms and Conditions in favour of any of its subsidiaries, subcontractors or appointed agents to carry out any of its obligations herein. Singapore Airlines shall not be responsible to the Business for any delay in performance or non-performance of its subcontractors and/or agents due to causes beyond its reasonable control.
6.11 Should these Terms and Conditions be available in other languages, the meanings and interpretations of the English language version shall be final in the event of any discrepancy.
6.12 Singapore Airlines reserves the right to interpret, apply and communicate the Terms and Conditions as posted on Singapore Airlines' website. All decisions made by Singapore Airlines shall be final and conclusive in each case.
6.13 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. In the event of a dispute, the courts of the Republic of Singapore shall have absolute and exclusive jurisdiction.
