No. Smoking, including vaping, is strictly prohibited on Singapore-registered aircraft. Passengers, if found guilty, could face a fine (not exceeding $5,000) or imprisonment (not exceeding 12 months) or both.
Passengers are also reminded that the use of e-cigarettes is also banned from use on all Singapore registered aircraft.
E-cigarettes, personal vapourisers “vapes” or electronic nicotine delivery systems are only allowed in carry-on baggage where permitted by the applicable local laws.
In Singapore, the purchasing, using or owning an electronic vapouriser will result in fines of up to $2,000 per offence. Please see here for more information.
The charging of power banks via the onboard USB ports, as well as using power banks to charge personal devices, are prohibited throughout the duration of the flight.
Each passenger may carry a maximum of two power banks* on board on all SIA flights. Power banks are not permitted in checked baggage.
Power banks should be kept in easily accessible locations such as the seat-back pocket or under the seat in front of you. Power banks should not be stored in the cabin’s overhead compartments.
*Power banks up to 100Wh are allowed without prior approval. For power banks between 100Wh and 160Wh please contact Singapore Airlines for approval. Power banks above 160Wh are not allowed on board.
