For Medan–Christchurch flights, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite and Value fares: 25kg; Standard and Flexi: 30kg), Premium Economy Class (35kg), and Business Class (40kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are: Economy Class and Premium Economy Class (1 piece, up to 7kg), and Business Class (2 pieces, each up to 7kg). Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on this route once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service is ideal for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Medan–Singapore sector operated by the Boeing 737-8 MAX, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of around 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width, while Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access.

On the Singapore–Christchurch sector operated by the Airbus A350-900, Economy Class also offers a pitch of about 32 inches with up to 19 inches of width, Premium Economy Class provides a 38-inch pitch and up to 20 inches of width, and Business Class features a fully flat bed with direct aisle access at every seat.

Singapore Changi Airport offers extensive facilities for all lengths of layover, including gardens, quiet rest areas, shopping, dining, and family-friendly spaces. For longer transits, you can consider joining an official transit tour into the city if your schedule allows and eligibility criteria are met. For shorter breaks, staying airside to enjoy the airport's amenities, showers, and relaxation zones is often most convenient. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

At Medan Kualanamu International Airport (KNO), eligible customers may relax in the Saphire Mandai International Lounge before departure. During your layover at Singapore (SIN), eligible passengers can access the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin class and membership status.

Medan follows Asia/Jakarta time (UTC+7) all year. Christchurch follows Pacific/Auckland time, which is UTC+12 from late April to late September, and UTC+13 during daylight saving time from late September to late April. This means Christchurch is usually 5 hours ahead of Medan in winter, and 6 hours ahead in summer.
