For flights between Hanoi and Osaka, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage: in Economy Class, Lite and Value fares include 25kg, and Standard and Flexi fares include 30kg. In Business Class, the checked baggage allowance is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, and Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final baggage allowance for your journey is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members have additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Hanoi to Osaka once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Hanoi–Singapore and Singapore–Osaka sectors, Economy Class seats offer a pitch of around 32 inches and up to 19 inches of seat width. Business Class provides a fully flat bed with generous personal space and direct aisle access on these modern Airbus A350-900, Boeing 737-8 MAX, and Boeing 787-10 services.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

At Singapore (SIN), eligible passengers may be able to access the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and status.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Hanoi but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

If you have at least 5.5–6 hours between flights, you may consider joining one of the official transit tours of Singapore that operate from Singapore Changi Airport, allowing you to see key sights without managing city logistics yourself. Shorter layovers can be comfortably spent airside, enjoying the airport’s gardens, art features, and quiet rest areas.

Singapore Changi Airport offers themed gardens, walking trails, nap zones, and family-friendly attractions, as well as a wide choice of dining and shopping. For longer connections, you can also look for airport hotels and relaxation facilities within or linked to the terminals.

Hanoi follows Indochina Time (ICT), which is UTC+7 and does not observe daylight saving time. Osaka follows Japan Standard Time (JST), which is UTC+9 and also does not use daylight saving time. This means Osaka is always 2 hours ahead of Hanoi throughout the year.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Osaka when flying from Hanoi via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Hanoi–Singapore and Singapore–Osaka) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Osaka is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
