Beverage Service
Throughout the trip, you can enjoy hot and cold beverages, including juices, soft drinks, tea, coffee, and a selection of alcoholic drinks, with our signature Singapore Sling available on board.

For flights between Rome and Phuket, the weight concept applies. For checked baggage, Economy Class guests may check 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class includes 35kg, and Business Class includes 40kg of checked baggage. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class guests may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final baggage allowance for your trip will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members have additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet on the Rome to Singapore and Singapore to Phuket sectors, where the service is fitted. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure.

Non-members can choose from paid plans on board. The connection is designed for messaging, email, and basic browsing, and does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Rome to Singapore Airbus A350-900 sector, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, Premium Economy Class offers a 38-inch pitch with up to 20-inch seat width, and Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access from every seat.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

You can relax at facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), and the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge during your transit, depending on your eligibility.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Rome but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

If you have a longer layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can join one of the official free transit tours into the city, usually available for layovers from around 5.5 hours, subject to operating conditions and registration on arrival. These guided tours offer a brief introduction to Singapore’s skyline and key districts.

For shorter layovers, staying airside is very comfortable, with themed gardens, rest zones, walking trails, and entertainment areas throughout the terminals. You can also explore swimming pools, viewing galleries, and a wide choice of dining and shopping.

Rome follows Central European Time (UTC+1) in winter and Central European Summer Time (UTC+2) roughly from late March to late October. Phuket follows Indochina Time (UTC+7) year-round. This means Phuket is 6 hours ahead of Rome in winter, and 5 hours ahead when Rome is on summer time.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Rome–Singapore and Singapore–Phuket) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Phuket is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
