For flights between Sydney and Osaka, our weight-concept baggage policy applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite and Value fares: 25kg; Standard and Flexi fares: 30kg), Premium Economy Class (35kg), Business Class (40kg), and Suites or First Class (50kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are: Economy Class and Premium Economy Class (1 piece up to 7kg), and Suites, First Class, and Business Class (2 pieces, each up to 7kg). Your exact allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on most Singapore Airlines flights from Sydney to Osaka once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should ensure their membership number is added to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Sydney but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

If your layover at Singapore Changi Airport is at least about 5.5 to 6 hours, you can consider joining a free transit tour into the city, subject to eligibility and timing. For shorter layovers, you can enjoy airside attractions such as indoor gardens, rest areas, and children's play zones in the terminals. Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Sydney–Singapore and Singapore–Osaka) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Osaka is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
