For flights between Xiamen and Kochi, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (25kg on Lite and Value fares, 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares) and Business Class (40kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are: Economy Class (1 piece up to 7kg) and Business Class (2 pieces, each up to 7kg). Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Xiamen–Singapore and Singapore–Kochi sectors operated by the Boeing 737-8 MAX, Economy Class offers a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, providing good comfort for the journey. Business Class features seats that convert into a fully flat bed with direct aisle access for every passenger.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Xiamen but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore (SIN), eligible passengers may be invited to use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge.

If you have enough time during your layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can join the official city tour, which typically requires a minimum transit time of about 5.5 to 6 hours. This offers a convenient way to see key sights without managing city logistics yourself.
For shorter layovers, staying airside is very comfortable, with themed gardens, quiet rest zones, art installations, and play areas, as well as an indoor waterfall and walking trails in selected terminals. You can also enjoy a wide range of dining and shopping options while you wait.
If you prefer to rest, consider an airport hotel or nap facilities located within or close to the terminals, allowing you to refresh before your onward flight. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it's an integral part of your journey.

Xiamen follows China Standard Time (UTC+8) and does not observe daylight saving time. Kochi follows India Standard Time (UTC+5:30) and also does not observe daylight saving time. Kochi is therefore 2 hours 30 minutes behind Xiamen throughout the year.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Cochin International Airport when flying from Xiamen via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Xiamen–Singapore and Singapore–Kochi) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Kochi is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
