On Yangon–Surabaya flights, our baggage policy uses the weight concept. For checked baggage, Economy Class allowance is 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Business Class allowance is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your exact allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on most Singapore Airlines flights from Yangon to Surabaya once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Yangon–Singapore and Singapore–Surabaya sectors, Economy Class seats provide a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, offering comfortable legroom for regional flights. Business Class features a fully flat bed with generous personal space and direct aisle access or easy aisle reach, depending on aircraft configuration, for a more restful journey.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Yangon but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

If you have enough time between flights, Singapore Changi Airport offers a free official transit tour into the city for eligible passengers, typically requiring a layover of at least 5.5 to 6 hours. This is a convenient way to see highlights of Singapore without managing your own arrangements.

For shorter layovers, you can stay airside and enjoy the airport's facilities, including themed gardens, rest zones, and family-friendly play areas. Selected terminals also have attractions like indoor waterfalls, art installations, and comfortable seating to relax between flights.

If you prefer privacy and extra rest, consider an airport hotel or paid lounge within the terminal for a shower and quiet space to work or sleep. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it's an integral part of your journey.

Yangon follows Myanmar Time (MMT), which is UTC+6:30 and does not observe daylight saving time. Surabaya follows Western Indonesia Time (WIB), which is UTC+7:00 and also does not observe daylight saving time. Surabaya is therefore 30 minutes ahead of Yangon throughout the year.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Yangon–Singapore and Singapore–Surabaya) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Surabaya is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
