For Chengdu to Da Nang flights, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite and Value fares: 25kg; Standard and Flexi fares: 30kg) and Business Class (40kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, and Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on most Singapore Airlines flights from Chengdu to Da Nang once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Business Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The Next Segment Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Chengdu but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers a wide range of facilities that make layovers comfortable and engaging, from themed gardens and quiet rest areas to swimming pools and transit hotels. If you have at least 5.5 to 6 hours between flights and meet entry requirements, you may also consider an official transit tour into the city to see key highlights before returning to the airport. For shorter layovers, staying airside lets you enjoy dining options, shopping, and relaxation spaces close to your gate. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

Chengdu follows China Standard Time (UTC+8) and does not observe daylight saving time. Da Nang uses Indochina Time (UTC+7), also without daylight saving. This means Da Nang is 1 hour behind Chengdu throughout the year.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Da Nang International Airport when flying from Chengdu via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Chengdu–Singapore and Singapore–Da Nang) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Da Nang is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
