Throughout the journey, you can enjoy a selection of hot and cold drinks, including juices, soft drinks, tea, and coffee. Our signature Singapore Sling is also available on board, adding a distinctive touch to your flight.

For flights between Colombo and Osaka, the weight concept applies. For checked baggage, Economy Class allowances are 25kg for Lite and Value fares, and 30kg for Standard and Flexi fares. Business Class passengers may check up to 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, and Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final baggage allowance for your journey is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members are entitled to additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Colombo to Osaka once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. Connectivity is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Colombo–Singapore and Singapore–Osaka sectors, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch and up to 19-inch seat width, providing comfortable legroom for the journey. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Eligible customers may be able to use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge at Singapore Changi Airport, depending on their ticket and status.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Colombo but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

With a layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can enjoy extensive airside facilities, including indoor gardens, rest areas, and family-friendly zones. For longer layovers of around 5 hours or more, you may consider an official transit tour into the city, subject to the airport’s tour schedule and immigration requirements.

Shorter transits are well spent exploring the terminals, where you will find art installations, relaxation spaces, and a wide selection of dining options. Quiet zones and pay-per-use lounges provide additional comfort if you prefer to rest between flights.

Colombo operates on Sri Lanka Standard Time (UTC+5:30) all year. Osaka follows Japan Standard Time (UTC+9:00) and does not observe daylight saving time. This means Osaka is 3 hours 30 minutes ahead of Colombo throughout the year.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Osaka when flying from Colombo via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Colombo–Singapore and Singapore–Osaka) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Osaka is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
