For flights between Phnom Penh and Penang, our weight concept applies. In Economy Class, the checked baggage allowance is 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. In Business Class, the checked baggage allowance is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The exact allowance for your trip will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on selected aircraft on the Phnom Penh–Singapore sector and becomes active once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Business Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure.

Non-members can purchase access plans on board. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers, so we recommend planning any high-bandwidth activities for before or after your flight.

On both the Phnom Penh–Singapore and Singapore–Penang sectors, Economy Class seats offer a pitch of about 32 inches, with up to 19 inches of seat width, providing a comfortable amount of legroom for regional journeys.

In Business Class on these sectors, you will have a fully flat bed on the Airbus A350-900 service between Phnom Penh and Singapore, and a spacious recliner seat with generous legroom and leg-rest on the Boeing 737-8 MAX flights. Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available. Eligible customers may use the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge at Singapore Changi Airport.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The Next Segment Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Phnom Penh but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers extensive amenities that make layovers comfortable and enjoyable, including themed gardens, rest areas, play spaces, and a wide variety of dining and shopping. If you have at least 5.5 to 6 hours between flights, you may also consider joining one of the airport's free transit tours into the city, subject to eligibility and schedule.

For shorter layovers, staying airside is convenient, with quiet zones, nap-friendly seating, and, in some terminals, attractions such as indoor gardens and art installations. If you prefer more privacy, you can book access to transit hotels or select pay-per-use lounges within the transit area.

Phnom Penh follows Indochina Time, which is UTC+7 and does not observe daylight saving time. Penang follows Malaysia Time, which is UTC+8 and also does not observe daylight saving time. This means Penang is 1 hour ahead of Phnom Penh throughout the year.

For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Penang is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
