Please note that no meal service is provided for Economy Class passengers on the Singapore–Kuala Lumpur segment due to the short flight time.

For Kathmandu–Kuala Lumpur flights, our weight-concept baggage policy applies. In Economy Class, checked baggage allowances are 25kg for Lite and Value fares, and 30kg for Standard and Flexi fares. In Business Class, the checked baggage allowance is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your exact baggage allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights on this route once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members.

The service is ideal for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers. Availability may vary slightly by aircraft and route segment.

On both the Kathmandu–Singapore and Singapore–Kuala Lumpur sectors operated by the Boeing 737-8 MAX, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of around 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width, providing comfortable legroom for the journey.

Business Class on these flights features a fully flat bed with generous personal space and direct aisle access from every seat, allowing you to rest or work in comfort throughout the trip.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Eligible customers may be able to access facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin and status.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Kathmandu but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

If your layover at Singapore Changi Airport is longer, you can join one of the airport’s complimentary transit tours into the city, usually available for connections of at least 5.5 to 6 hours, subject to eligibility and schedule. This lets you see highlights of Singapore between your flights.

For shorter layovers, staying airside is comfortable and convenient. Changi Airport offers themed gardens, quiet rest zones, play areas, and sometimes facilities such as cinemas or pools in selected terminals, so you can relax or stretch your legs.

Kathmandu follows Nepal Time, which is UTC+5:45 all year round, with no daylight saving time. Kuala Lumpur follows Malaysia Time, which is UTC+8:00 and also does not observe daylight saving. Kuala Lumpur is therefore 2 hours 15 minutes ahead of Kathmandu throughout the year.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Kuala Lumpur International Airport when flying from Kathmandu via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Kathmandu–Singapore and Singapore–Kuala Lumpur) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
