On this route, you can enjoy our curated inflight menus, but Book the Cook is not available on Boeing 737-8 MAX services. You will still have a carefully planned selection of dishes designed for the regional flight.

Beverage Service
A range of hot and cold beverages is served throughout the flight, including juices, soft drinks, tea, and coffee. Our signature Singapore Sling is also available on board, so you can enjoy a taste of Singapore during your journey.

For Kathmandu to Phuket flights, our weight-concept policy applies. In Economy Class, the checked baggage allowance is 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. In Business Class, the checked baggage allowance is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance for your trip is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Business Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service supports messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Kathmandu to Singapore and Singapore to Phuket sectors, Economy Class typically offers a 32-inch seat pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, providing a comfortable amount of legroom for regional flights. Business Class features seats that convert into a fully flat bed, with direct aisle access, giving you more personal space to work, dine, or rest.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Kathmandu but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore (SIN), eligible customers can access the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and status.

Singapore Changi Airport is well known for making transit time comfortable and engaging. If your layover is long enough, you can join the airport's free guided transit tours that require a minimum layover of around 5.5 to 6 hours, allowing you to explore selected highlights of the city.

For shorter layovers, staying airside still offers plenty to do. You can enjoy themed gardens, rest areas, entertainment zones, and a wide selection of dining options across the terminals. Some terminals feature play areas, quiet zones, and airport hotels or nap facilities for additional rest.

Kathmandu follows Nepal Time (UTC+5:45) all year and does not observe daylight saving time. Phuket follows Indochina Time (UTC+7:00) and also does not change clocks seasonally. This means Phuket is 1 hour 15 minutes ahead of Kathmandu throughout the year.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Phuket International Airport when flying from Kathmandu via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Kathmandu–Singapore and Singapore–Phuket) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Phuket is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
