Beverage Service
On board, you can enjoy a selection of hot and cold drinks, including juices, soft drinks, teas, and coffees. A range of alcoholic beverages is also available, and our signature Singapore Sling is served on board across all cabins.

For flights between Taipei and Dubai, our baggage policy follows the weight concept. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite and Value fares: 25kg; Standard and Flexi: 30kg), Premium Economy Class (35kg), Business Class (40kg), and First Class (50kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are: Economy Class and Premium Economy Class (1 piece up to 7kg), and Business Class and First Class (2 pieces, each up to 7kg). Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Taipei to Dubai once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Taipei–Singapore sector, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of about 32 inches and up to 19 inches of seat width, while Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access. On the Singapore–Dubai sector, Economy Class also offers around 32 inches of pitch and up to 19 inches of width, Premium Economy Class offers about 38 inches of pitch and up to 20 inches of width, and Business Class and First Class provide fully flat beds for added comfort.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Taipei but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. Eligible travellers can relax in facilities such as The Private Room, SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), and KrisFlyer Gold Lounge at Singapore Changi Airport.

Singapore Changi Airport offers a wide range of ways to spend your layover, including themed gardens, rest areas, and family-friendly attractions across its terminals. For longer layovers of at least 5.5 to 6 hours, you can consider joining the airport’s free transit tour programme into the city, subject to operating conditions and eligibility. Shorter connections are well spent exploring art installations, indoor greenery, and dining options without leaving the terminal. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

Taipei follows Taiwan Time, which is UTC+8 and does not observe daylight saving time. Dubai follows Gulf Standard Time, which is UTC+4 and also does not use daylight saving time. Dubai is 4 hours behind Taipei throughout the year.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Dubai International Airport when flying from Taipei via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Taipei–Singapore and Singapore–Dubai) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Dubai is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.

You may be able to plan a stopover in Singapore on your Taipei–Dubai trip, subject to your ticket conditions and availability.
