For flights between Taipei and Seattle, the piece concept applies for checked baggage. In Economy Class, you may check 2 pieces, each up to 23kg. In Premium Economy Class, you may check 2 pieces, each up to 23kg. In Business Class, you may check 2 pieces, each up to 32kg. Each individual checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Taipei to Seattle once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Taipei–Singapore and Singapore–Seattle sectors, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of about 32 inches and up to 19 inches of seat width. Premium Economy Class, available on the Singapore–Seattle sector, offers a 38-inch pitch and up to 20-inch seat width. In Business Class on both sectors, you can enjoy a fully flat bed with direct aisle access on our long-haul aircraft types.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The Next Segment Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Taipei but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore, eligible customers may be invited to the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin and status.

Singapore Changi Airport offers extensive facilities for both short and longer layovers, including indoor gardens, quiet rest areas, and family zones. For longer connections of at least 5.5 to 6 hours, you may join an official transit tour into the city, subject to eligibility and timing. Shorter layovers can be enjoyed entirely airside, with walking paths, art installations, and a wide choice of dining. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

Taipei follows Taiwan Time (UTC+8) year-round. Seattle follows Pacific Time, which is UTC-8 in winter (roughly November to March) and UTC-7 during daylight saving time (roughly March to November). This means Seattle is typically 16 hours behind Taipei in winter and 15 hours behind in summer.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport when flying from Taipei via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Taipei–Singapore and Singapore–Seattle) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Seattle is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.

You may be able to plan a stopover in Singapore on your Taipei–Seattle trip, subject to your ticket conditions and availability.
