For flights between Guangzhou and Medan, the weight concept applies. For checked baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 25kg on Lite and Value fares, or 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Business Class passengers may bring up to 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members have additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on most Singapore Airlines services from Guangzhou to Medan once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, although Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Guangzhou but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

At Singapore Changi Airport, longer layovers can be spent joining an official transit tour into the city, provided your connection meets the minimum time requirement, usually around 5.5 to 6 hours. This allows you to see highlights of Singapore before returning for your onward flight. For shorter layovers, you can relax in themed gardens, make use of rest areas, or visit airport attractions such as play zones and quiet lounges. Airport hotels and shower facilities are also available in the terminals. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

Guangzhou follows China Standard Time, which is UTC+8 and does not observe daylight saving time. Medan follows Western Indonesia Time, which is UTC+7 and also does not observe daylight saving time. Medan is therefore 1 hour behind Guangzhou throughout the year.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Medan is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
