For Taipei–Zurich flights, our routes use the weight concept for checked baggage. In Economy Class, Lite and Value fares include 25kg, while Standard and Flexi fares include 30kg. Premium Economy Class includes 35kg, Business Class 40kg, and First Class 50kg of checked baggage, with each bag not exceeding 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class and First Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is always stated on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Taipei to Zurich once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Taipei–Singapore sector, Economy Class offers a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, and Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access. On the Singapore–Zurich sector, Economy Class again offers a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, Premium Economy Class features a 38-inch pitch with up to 20-inch seat width, and Business Class and First Class both provide fully flat beds for added comfort.

Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

At Singapore Changi Airport, eligible customers may be able to use The Private Room, SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and status.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Taipei but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers extensive facilities that make layovers comfortable and engaging. For longer connections of at least around 5.5 to 6 hours, you can consider joining an official transit tour into the city, allowing time to see a few key landmarks before returning for your onward flight.

If you prefer to stay airside, you can enjoy themed gardens, rest areas, and play zones across the terminals, as well as a wide choice of dining and shopping. Selected terminals also feature attractions such as indoor greenery and water features that help you unwind between flights.

For shorter layovers, you may simply relax in quiet seating zones, freshen up, or take a gentle walk around the terminal to stretch your legs before boarding. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it's an integral part of your journey.

Zurich uses Central European Time (UTC+1) in roughly November to March, when Zurich is 7 hours behind Taipei, and Central European Summer Time (UTC+2) from roughly late March to late October, when Zurich is 6 hours behind Taipei.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Taipei–Singapore and Singapore–Zurich) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Zurich is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
